Site Reliability Engineer (f/m/d)

Workload: 80-100% | 3 days home office | Location: Zürich/Lausanne| Start: immediately or by arrangement

As a Site Reliability Engineer in the Publishing Technology Solutions group, you will play a critical role in helping us write the digital future of Tamedia. You will work with a team of 6 engineers responsible for running the end-to-end TX publishing cloud infrastructure, and help improve, deploy, and run Switzerland's most important news sites and web solutions that allow journalists to create and publish the news.

As part of our team you will be doing:

• Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of the publishing platform and services.

• Develops and implements processes and tools to monitor the health and performance of the platform and systems.

• Makes sure to react to incidents with on-call rotation and provide support to troubleshoot issues.

• Implements automated processes for managing and deploying infrastructure and applications.

• Implements and maintains tools to identify possible/potential security issues

• Identifies opportunities for constantly enhancing the publishing platform in order to meet the evolving needs and taking advantage of new ideas and technologies.

As part of our team you bring:

• Proven experience in a DevOps, or SRE role.

• Enthusiasm to continuously learn and love for challenges, go-for-it attitude, so when you see something broken or which can be improved, you can't help but act.

• Proficiency in at least one code language (Python, Node.js etc.).

• In depth knowledge of AWS and you have experience with CDNs, proficiency in docker, kubernetes, terraform and git.

• Ability to help software engineers learn to build for the cloud and exploit the potential of the cloud ecosystem.

• Mastery over CI/CD tools and processes, specifically Github Actions and CircleCI, and a commitment to continually improving these skills.
